CASCINA RISTORANTE NOW OFFERING BRUNCH

New Brunch Menu Features Italian Favorites

NEW YORK (March 26, 2009) – Cascina Ristorante, Hell’s Kitchen’s favorite Italian dining locale, is now offering brunch. Available on Saturdays and Sundays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., the menu features classic Italian breakfast fare and a complimentary mimosa, bloody Mary, screwdriver or Champagne. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 212-245-4422, or visiting the restaurant’s web site, www.cascina.com.

“We want to offer our customers a brunch that remains true to our Italian heritage and our commitment to providing an authentic Italian dining experience,” said Gianni Onofri, the restaurant’s general manager.

The a la carte brunch menu features Uova al Tegamino (oven-baked eggs and tomato sauce), an assortment of frittatas, crostini and bruschetta. Baskets of croissants, muffins and bread served with homemade fruit marmalade, pastas, soups, salads and pizzas are also available. The full menu can be viewed on the restaurant’s web site.

Located at 647 Ninth Avenue near the corner of W. 45th Street, Cascina Ristorante is well-known for its traditional Italian country-style food and extensive award-winning wine list (2007 and 2008 Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast awards). The restaurant’s menu changes seasonally to showcase that season’s choice ingredients prepared with traditional Italian technique. The restaurant’s cozy décor of heavy wooden tables, oversized wine racks, lush red-colored walls, antique iron chandeliers, and a stone oven used to bake Cascina’s signature pizzas and breads, is reminiscent of a homey Italian kitchen found in the rolling vineyards of Italy. Lunch and dinner specials are served daily, along with a bar menu and a pre-theater prix-fixe dinner. Private party rooms and off-site catering are available. For more information or to make a reservation, call 212-245-4422, or visit www.cascina.com.
